Moratorium on Residential Evictions for Tenants Impacted by COVID-19
Gov. Gary R. Herbert has issued an Executive Order instituting a moratorium on residential evictions for a narrow group of tenants who have been directly impacted by COVID-19.

These directives establish minimum statewide standards. In consultation with the State, local authorities may impose more stringent directives and orders to address the unique situations in different areas of Utah. They are not be confused with a shelter-in-place order.

First Death From COVID-19 Reported
The Utah Department of Health (UDOH) and Mountainstar HCA today announced the state’s first COVID-19-related death. At the time of their death, the patient was being treated at Lakeview Hospital. The patient is a male, was older than 60 and was a resident of Davis County. He had underlying medical conditions, and was hospitalized for two days prior to his death.
