Utah County Confirms First Resident Case

The Utah County Health Department announced Tuesday afternoon that an adult male over the age of 18 has tested positive for COVID-19.

The patient appears to have contracted the virus through community spread. No other details are being released about the patient.

Utah County has had one visitor test positive, but this is the first case of a resident in the county testing positive. A total of 42 residents have now tested positive statewide.

Individuals experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should not seek in-person medical care without first calling ahead. Residents exhibiting potential symptoms are asked to call the COVID-19 information line at 1-800-456-7707.
